Economic Development Division
Situated within the Planning and Development Department, the Economic Development Division is committed to the fiscal well-being of the county, its businesses, and its residents. With a core focus on business outreach and engagement, small business and entrepreneurship, redevelopment, and project management, our economic development managers each possess a unique range of skills to help bring economic success to Gwinnett.
Our Mission
With a population of more than 950,000, Gwinnett County is the second-most populous county in the state of Georgia and a premier destination for businesses to establish, grow, and thrive.
Our county offers efficient, customer-focused government services and infrastructure that attract and encourage private investments and developments from all over the world, making it a hotspot for successful businesses.
A business-friendly competitive tax structure, economically favorable incentives, and low operating costs attract new businesses across multiple industries. Gwinnett’s diverse population, with more than 100 languages and dialects spoken in households, supports vibrant international communities and businesses, making it an enticing global destination.
Economic Development Incentives
One of the Economic Development Division's functions is to analyze and track the economic impact of projects and recommend inducement packages that meet the criteria specified in the Gwinnett County Economic Development Ordinance. Learn more about economic development incentives.
Gwinnett County is the lead financial supporter of Partnership Gwinnett, a public-private initiative dedicated to bringing new jobs and capital investment to the county.
